Perephials never sell that well.  If the majority of consumers don\'t buy it, devs won\'t use it.  The Dual Shock 2 controller, the best controller for the PS, didn\'t even sell to 10% of PS owners.  This is a $30 accessory.  90% of PS owners only have 1 controller.  You expect them to buy a HD?

The DC, at it\'s peak had 250k people online (that\'s being generous).  There were 3 million (or so) DCs out there.

How many multi taps do you think have been sold?

How well did the 32x do?  Sega CD?  Power Glove?

Since the xbox has a built in HD, 4 controller ports, and a modem devs can use them and know that 100% of their clientel have access to all of the features of their game.

I usually don\'t like to pull punches, but that is the most asinine thing I\'ve heard in awhile.  If I don\'t have a sound card in my PC, and then I add a soundcard, I can still take full advantage of it.
