I cant believe all this positive feedback.  Honestly, I thought DMC was a beautiful game but its no where near my list of favorites.  Here is why:

Just take half of how much the product cost-$25

and put it through a lil test of gain and loss--

Awesome graphics--plus ten (35)
Awesome weapons--plus ten (45)
The fact you lose them to suckier ones later--minus five (40)
Boss battles and their camera angles--minus ten (30)
Fighting Nightmare twice--minus five (25)
Nelo (maybe the best baddy ever)--plus ten (35)
Fighting Nightmare AGAIN--minus five (30)
Storyline--minus ten (20)
Mundus battle--even

Final points 20

Now what should happen is that the point total should equal the total cost of the game, cuz god knows now-a-days games cost double the amount of DVD\'s.  DMC is half the game it should have been.  Logical?

Your forced to use the Ifrit gloves and Sparda\'s sword later in the game just because they do a lot more damage than Alastor.  Secondly the double pistols are waaaay too cool but after you pick up the shotgun and such they become useless.  Know what I mean?

No I don\'t.

I mean I use the pistols all the time, mainly because it\'s fun and useful to "hover" in the air with them.

I never use Sparda cause it doesn\'t have the DT gauge. Alastor is definitely my favorite weapon, so I use that mostly. So you are not forced to give them up

SmallLady: Do you play the PAL version ? Or do u have it imported from US ?

I bought it at the local game store so it\'s PAL.

i totally agree with small lady over that alastar and ivory ebony rules.  Sparda just sucks except in the last battle cuz theirs, no dt, cool electrical effects and u lose air hike.  ifrit\'s pretty good but i switch between ifrit/alastar and guns depending on what i\'m fighting and what mood i\'m in

here\'s my weapons of chose against different situations:

marrionets/fetish:doesnt matter cuz they\'r so easy.  but i usually prefer alastar with ivory n ebony cuz i could pull of all those cool combos
sins/death sins:ifrit with rolling blaze and spear kick.  alastar in devil form
blades:alastar definetly
frosts:ifrit(does mega damage)
kyklps:alastar regular/ifrit with dt.
skull things:alastar with air hike.
electrical monsters:ifrit

bosses
phantom:ifrit
nelo:alastar with nightmare beta
griffon:alastar with ivory and ebony
nightmare:alastar with ivory n ebony most of the time.  ifrit to pount away on core

PAL version is the version we European games use...... NTSC is for Japan and US. So, if u order a game from US, u wont be able to play it...... because your machine cant read Ntsc discs, but you can get your machine chipped . Lot of games is slow on the PAL version (Tekken 2 have to be the worst of em).

— At times, totally awful camera angles. Which are almost as cool as they are irritating .([color=00FF00]+[/color]--)
— Beautiful locations to visit, and sometimes loads of flicker to look at too. Pretty. ([color=00FF00]++[/color]-)

I\'m never gonna quit using Ebony and Ivory, the most handy handguns in videogame history. Ifrit kicks ass in Devil Trigger mode, the hard punches and kicks take too long at the wind up... just a tad quicker and they\'d been nigh on perfect.
