What was everyones biggest dissapointment in 2001?

Mine was Wipeout Fusion. I was so looking forward to this game but after playing it, it was so uninspiring. I just couldnt get into it.

This is closely followed by TM:B and Resident Evil. Twisted Metal Black was just a downright shocking PAL conversion. The movies were totally cut from the game. And Resident Evil was so dull. It offered absoultly nothing new over the PSX ones except better graphics

I got three actually.

Silent Hill 2.  Read the review to find out why.

Dead or Alive 3.  I\'ve debated this so much that stating why again would be monotonous.

Sega dumping the Dreamcast.  I liked the DC.  Sad to see it go.

1. Not losing my virginity

2. the bouncer...i liked it, but was too chopped down from what they initially planned

3. wwf smackdown3...that single player mode is ****, and only there to unlock people...wheres the fun?  no defending the titles against your friends, no surprises...pure rubbish (although the multiplayer is excellent)

1.  Tekken 4 -- After playing TTT for so long, this game was very underwhelming.  It could have been so much more. :(  Hopefully T5 will fix the blaring problems and be a little more innovative.

2.  ZOE -- Stupid magazines/webzines.  They hyped this game up so much at TGS 2000, then it turned out less than stellar.

3.  The Xbox selling well in America (oops, did I type that out loud? ;))

4.  Gran Turismo 3 -- *yawn*.  The whole time I was thinking, "didn\'t I play this game 2 years ago?"

11: House of the Dead 3 screens. Cel-shaded? WHAT THE HELL?

12: Max Payne for the PS2.

13: Batman Vengence.

Sega\'s non-support of PSO in the US. We had only 1 quest, which gave NOTHING for rares, and it takes months for them to put up a patch on a server to stop cheating.. which is then busted in 3 hours. :sad: V.2 is a bit better, but cheating is still rampant (expecially thanks to v.1 cheaters never getting banned) and we still get shafted on new quests.

(BTW: Cheater dosen\'t mean the lil stuff like inf money.. ++Exp.. or Walk thru Walls.. Cheaters mean people who can, and do several times a night, destory 400+ hours of character building in mere seconds.)

You people expect too much outta these games.... I thought ZOE was a great game.... Short but fun... I liked the futuristic city and all, and the story was great... I dunno..... That was my first Mech game.... So I didn\'t know what to expect, I liked it.

As for the subject of this thread.... My biggest disapointment gamewise would have to be... Silent Hill 2,(The exact friggin thing as the first.... Got old fast.) and Baulder\'s Gate... I got it... And am finished with it... Too much of the same old... Run around dodge attacks and tap that button fast to kill a lot... Gameplay sucked IMO...
The graphics rule.... But I\'m not gonna play a crappy game for graphics alone...

1. US Evo 7 won\'t be the all mightly 276HP ( or so I heard) due to the emission we have (goddamnit).

Biggest dissappointment for me in 2001.

Civilization 3. Same old game. Back with stupid and hard AI.

Second most dissapointment for 2001.

The Bouncer. Great game that wasn\'t.

And Thrid most dissappointment of 2001.

College life. A lot more boring then I hoped.

Speaking of cheating, one of my disappointments last year was all the cheaters running rampant over every Counter-strike server in creation.  I don\'t understand these CHILDREN who cheat in online games.  Can they really be so brain dead that they don\'t get bored with it after 30 seconds?  Where do they come from?

Its not really that big a deal that the US version of Shenmue 2 was cancelled. The European version is what the US version would\'ve been, except you need a boot disk.

No big deal for such an excellent game.

Everyone whines about cheating in CS, but IMO its not as bad as people make it out to be. I don\'t know, maybe its just that I play on good servers. I only play on the CS Radio server nowadays, join it someday and maybe you\'ll see me. IP address is csradio.recongamer.com:27015 .

BTW I\'m an admin there >:)

LOL!  Have we not heard of OGC 6.13?  It is totally undetectable.  It has aim bots and all sorts of wall/flash hacks.  I have it, but it is almost no fun to use it anymore when it gets down to me fighting sombody on the other team that has it also.  It ends up being AWP and Deagle wars through walls.  CS is dead.

UPDATE:  Lol and just to prove that fact I went to your server and hacked on it :-)  I do not think people want to see Sp3eD there again :-)
