Why most if not all pop artists suck.

1) Most do not write there own lyrics.

2) None of them write music.

Erm, I hate plenty of bands that do write their own lyrics and music. I do respect them a tad for it, though.

No, you\'ve gotten it all wrong.  Now this doesn\'t only apply to Pop artists, nor does it apply to all Pop artists.  The simple truth is that everyone in a creative role, be it movies, music or videogames.... probably other stuff too like painting or something, though that would apply to a lesser degree hopefully....

If you\'re doing it for the money and not for the sake of doing it because that\'s what you love to do, then you suck.

even still tho..all in all, money is money and everyone in the world is out to make money. If I could..I sing others words as well, but I dont have it

I do however give more respect to those that have more creative control in their stuff, but not everyone gets those freedoms until they have mad a name for themselves by singing someones else\'s words and playing someone elses notes. Usually by that time they do strike out and try their own creations out, they usually arent that good and dont sell well.

I actually think SOME pop music is quite good.. I enjoy listening to the uptempo beats and their slow jams.

Maaaaaaan... If they come up with anymore solo girl singers I am gonna go crazy... Same with the damn boy bands..

Not everyone who can sing can also write music/lyrics. Not everyone is multitalented.

That doesn\'t mean that they should not perform. I like to listen to beautiful voices. I don\'t think about who wrote that song.

Of course it\'s great if someone writes their own songs. Come to think of it, all my favorite singers/bands do (except Aaliyah, as far as I know).

Maybe those who write their own material are less "commercial" than those who don\'t, generalizing a lot.
