Final Fantasy XI New pics scan off the magazine

So what do you guys think.  I heard the landscape is going to be huge and its free romaing.  From what I see, the character and background designs look pretty good.  A good sign that Square had pushed the envelope of the ps2 further.  We manage to see realtime shadow for characters, I guess.

Lookin good. Glad to see alotta of the jaggies are gone. Granted, a few here and there are minimal and too be expected.. but those earlier screens looked worse than (dare I say it) JagRacer5.

Still trying to figure out what my first character is gonna be.. Probly a Mithra Monk or a Bulrath (Those big Ox lookin dudes) Thief. Human characters are kinda boring IMO. Plus the Mithra look alot like Newmans and I love Newmans.

How many of you think you\'ll end up playin a female character?

Can\'t wait..  Its gonna suck my life away but its okay..

Its gonna be so much fun when we all play, we know we will all have back..  

This is  gonna be great!!!

Its nothing compared to seeing this game in action. It really is a beautiful game and looks fun to play.
