uhmm, no... manuals are faster b/c they have less parasitic drag vs a atx tranny which has more. Not to mention any auto..3,4, or 5 speed auto..then take the same car in 5 or 6 speed manual and it will be faster due to different gearing..more gears.

since autos ty[ically have taller gears vs. their atx counterpart..not to mention mtx\'s usually have a higher redline vs their atx friends limited by the cars pcm.

Manuals get better gas mileage as well.

I like both myself, but for me..I wont have a manual unless I have 2 cars. Im simply too lazy to drive around chicago traffic with one. The manual car is more fun to drive tho :) Both have their strong points, both have their weak points...

I guess im just torn :D

Parallel parking is a beeitch (I\'m 15).  I mean, I cut to hard in when I\'m backin\' in to the spot and 3 times outta 5 I hit the curb.

Too much Sunkist, IMO.

You just have to know the certain points on your car to be able to fit perfectly in the spot.

I have a Lexus es300.. So, it\'s kinda long.. So what I did was test with points. Backing up, my first point was looking near the backseat where the back windshield is. Once that little piece connecting the door and the windshield is at the first lane marker, I full stop and turn the wheel all the way to the right. Then I start backing up and look to the left-back till that side of the windshield (same as the first, but opposite side) is on the 2nd lane marker. Once it hits, I stop then turn the wheel all the way to the left and back up... Then I am pefectly parallel! :D

It all depends on how long your car is and stuff. Just experiment with the points and you should have no trouble getting it parallel.
