ring up and ask to speak to the manager, then say you was rudely talked to by a certain person of the staff, and then explain it to the manager......usually works better

mines 30003 v3. i got it in the summer (june i think) i havent had any problems with it yet :) i was tempted to get the new version 5 model, but now that i hear dvd region x doesnt work on it i\'m not gonna bother cos i watch a lot of dvd\'s- mainly region 1 & 2 and i also like to watch them with an RGB picture signal! so v5 just aint gonna cut it for me.

I\'m sorry Rich. I tried to understand what you posted and I came to the conclusion that I have a version 4 or 5 but, I still don\'t know for sure which. Your original post didn\'t make it easy to tell which u.s version people had.

Thanks

Im sorry! I didn\'t mean to come down too hard. I was just being grumpy! :)

For you tacos...

Look at the expansion bay on the back of the ps2. Remove its cover...

Version 4 - Metal rim around cover and no screw found inside the bay.

Version 5 - All plastic cover and you will find a screw inside the bay.

Hope this helps.

Rich.

Thanks Rich! I have a version 5 I do believe. I have an all plastic expansion bay cover. I see a big screw in the middle of the expansion bay if that is what screw that you are preferring too. Thanks again.
