I\'m not gonna trash talk Green Bay cuz\' they are a good team.

I hope that they can beat the Rams though.

My dream superbowl: Green Bay vs. New England :)

What?  I\'m just going to pop up here and say I told you so.  Interception, bad face mask penalty, 40-yard down field pass, fumble on the kickoff.  Talk about your classic choke moments and with all of them being in the 4th quarter.  They only choke on the Rams?  Feh.  If me and you were betting, like I did with my uncle, I would have won 100 bucks from you just like I did from him.  Sucker.

Okay, Packers had their share of mistakes as well, interception, 15 yard face mask, blocked xtra-point, failing to convert on 3rd and 1.

1. That interception wasn\'t a clean pick. The ball hung, as the ball was falling into Owens\' hands, it was tipped, and Mckenzie caught it. Nothing special. Favre was picked too.

2. Face mask penalty was 15-yards and the packers had one of them as well.

3. 40 yard bomb was because I think it was Jamie Winborn who didn\'t play for the ball. That 40 yard bomb, coulda easily been picked, just lousy defense.

4. The fumble on the kickoff wasn\'t even important, cuz\' there was less that a minute left in the game and the Niners were down by 10. Not very significant.

What if we factor in the lousy officialing? Like when Bubba Franks obviously fumbled it on the Packer 15 and they ruled it incomplete? Or when the Packers fumbled on the kick return on the Packers 20, and they ruled it down by contact?

The game easily coulda been won by the Niners as well. Like I said if the game was @ 3com, the Niners woulda won. And what you stated was that Jeff Garcia chokes. Not the team. Garcia didn\'t choke at all. He was laying out 80 yard drives, if anyone choked it was Hearst and Owens with 2 back to back dropped passes that coulda placed them in scoring position.

Oh well, it was a good game, but it\'s a shame the Niners lost because I feel personally that they\'re the better team.

I bet you, they\'ll be back next year.

YOu see, you can excuse every one of the faults by some little pidley thing all you want, but the fact of the matter is, when it really counted, and when the niners really needed to score, they didn\'t do anything.  The score at the end of the game is proof enough.  Sure, they may be back next year as a better team, but they first need to retune their defensive line and get a couple of guys in there that average 1 or 2 sacks per game and pressure the QB enough to screw up passes and toss them into our defenses hands.  The second thing we need is a faster wide reciever who really bolts down field and takes the hits.  Our recievers, I won\'t mention any names, really don\'t do that and they screw up and drop passes on plenty of occasions.

That\'s my 2 cents.

Ouch. It\'s okay Proud to Be, I deserve it.

Ryu,

I don\'t think the Niners need to work on their defensive line. Bryant Young and Dana Stubblefield are a hell of a pair. They stopped the run very well. And Stubblefield blocked the extra point. I think we need some new linebackers. I\'m not too hot about Derek Smith and Julian Peterson. They never really make big plays. Yeah Derek Smith was responible for that huge goal line stop against the Eagles but he\'s way too inconsistent. I like our secondary too. I mean, they are young guys that just get better every year. Ahmed Plummer is going to the pro bowl next year with Lance Schulters, I bet on it.

Right now I\'m kinda excited about the offseason and the adjustments that will come.

Vapor I agree with about the D-line of the niners, in my mind when Engleberger, and Carter are healthy the niners will have one of the most formidable lines in the league.  But the LB crew is somewhat of a week point, but I do think they have potential, look at D.Smith he was leading the league in tackles before he got injured, and Peterson has shown some good heart at times, but he may lack the raw athletic prowess to be a pro bowler.  In my mind the only thing the front office has to do to win a super bowl in the near future is keep this team together, and if that doesn\'t work they could always shoot Marshal Faulk.

 Shooting Faulk would be sweet.

I have a bad feeling in my gut that Terrell Owens will be traded... That will suck major apples.

if owens gets traded I will have quite a large problem with the Niner front office, seeing as how he\'s my favorite player(a$$hole or not, he\'s the best wideout in the game)

Ok, not here\'s my predicitions for the playoffs-

GB vs. STL- STL
CHI vs PHI-CHI

NFC Champ game-CHI vs STL-winner CHI

OAK VS NE-OAK
PIT vs BAL-PIT

AFC Champ game-OAK vs PIT-winner PIT

SUperbowl PIT vs CHI=PIT

This will be a blue collar superbowl

How can anyone doubt the Patriots chances of going to the superbowl?  Come on, they have played extremely well heading into the post season.  Currently they are winners of six straight games, no injuries, with the exception of terry glenn\'s billionth suspension, and they have a defense that would screw up even the best offensive coordinator.  Oakland is not playing that well, they just decided to wake up last week.  I hope they are ready to play in sub-freezing tempatures.

That\'s because they mix in the 3-4 defense. There is one team who plays the 3-4 exclusively and knows all about it... The Steelers:D
