Kazaa - Are there any hacks to get better bandwidth?

I have 528k cable connection, and all I get on Kazaa is download speeds of 0.5-3k.

Its painfull, and I now know what its like for dialup people again.

Can you get hacks to make it quicker?

yer going that slow cause of the others persons upload speed, not yer downloiad speed

stop downloading off people using 56k\'s

Its weird, cause I normally only download from people with bacndwith 350+

Unless I am reading it wrong, doesnt that mean they have a 350+ connection/allowing downloads at 350k?

almost all of the users on that stuff that are NOT on dialup, use cable or DSL that limits them to 16k/sec upload or less

doesnt take much to suck up that bandwidth

I use to love imesh cause it would download form multiple people at the same time and put them together when complete.  SO much faster.  I get pretty good speed with winmx.

ya, morpheus does that too.  Thats what i use and i have no problems downloading things, i usually check out all the bandwidths and pick any that are 500 and above.

Thats what I was thinking, and they even use the same Music City sever thingo.

Hmm, I have Morpheus, maybe I should try it out again.

By the way, does your username on Kazaa get rated??? Like, do you get a share rating or something? Like, the more you share, the better your rate, so the faster your downloads???

Its just that I dont share... Hehehehe...

KaZaA and Morpheus are basically the same thing along with Grokster. They use the FastTrack protocol developed by some dutch guys.

However Morpheus were the only ones that didn\'t include that spyware crap in their program.

This just in:  Morpheus Sucks.  I turned it on today to find you can\'t download any mp3 over 128kbps.  Apparently the music industry and Kazaa have some behind the back dealings going on.  128kbps might be OK to the average user, but I go for full WAVs whenever I can, with a min of 192.

I use Bearshare now.  I\'ve tried em all and it\'s my fav.

thats a buch of crap!

Just go into
run, type in REGEDIT
and once in there:
click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER, then click on sorftware, then morheous.

On the window on the right hand side double click on Limitbitrate and change the value to zero (it should be on 1)

And vuala you can search and download higher bitrate audio

Trust me it works!

and if you want to change it back you just have to change the value to 1 again.

I dont see any reason to tho cos you can search for certan bitrate using morpheus anyways.

And buy the way im not a computor geek.  A morpheus programmer told everyone how to do it in their forums.  I dont know why they dont enable it in the first place.
