i was just wondering, what is the best looking ps2 game released in the US so far? (not including upcoming games)
have all the games made so far utilized the full capabilities of ps2? or will the games be more graphic intense? sorry for the newbie questions, only game i ever played on ps2 is gt3, i think its AMAZING!

Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance is fantastic looking, but plays repetitive

FFX is awesome looking

MGS2 is fantastic all around

Ico is sweet

GT3 is sweet

well i would say mgs2 ive played a small part of american demo, maybe final fanatasy x ( not played as not released in europe yet)
ive heard ico is amazing, also ace combat 4 looks soooooooo good!!!! jak and daxter is sweet!!! tony haks is very good and smooth!!

gta 3 is excellent, but believe me there are many game that look bettre, but saying that, they havent got a whole city living infront of you!!!!

things are only gonna get better, gt3 is meant to be about 25% of what a ps2 can do!!!

GT4 will be a whole new engine..... so I guess we have seen nothing yet.

damn, gt3 is only using 25% of ps2\'s potential? that is damn amazing, can\'t wait for gt4! if gt3 is using 25%, how much of xbox\'s capabilities is being used in pgr and halo?

The best looking Ps2 game is FFX, IMO, but MGS2 and GT3 are close.

It really doesn;t meant that developers will ever find the other 75% either

I haven\'t seen much that tells me devs are capable of fully tapping the PS2\'s power

so take it with a grain of salt

hmmm... A lot of games actually look good on ps2 now... But the best ones are ICO, MGS2, and hmmm... GTA3(level-wise).

the thing is, do they really want to show us the full potential of the PS2?? Don\'t forget that the cost of the production of a game that will use the 60% of the machine will be higher than using just the 25%...

And since 25% looks like GT3, I doubt they care to push a game above 50%.....
