Who else has experienced REZ?
« on: January 16, 2002, 02:37:08 PM »
Who else around here has had the sensory overload experience that is called REZ? The game is truly beautiful in so many ways and is an experience. I can\'t really describe it, if I was forced to I would say its Panzer Dragoon  / Tempest 2000 / House music all mixed together. Even then I am missing a lot of key points on what makes this game so great.

Run out now. Buy this game.

I\'ve been wanting the game ever since I read the very first preview of it in EDGE magazine (sometime last year). I just love curiosity titles like this. I\'ve heard it\'s a bit on the short side though. Don\'t care, gonna get it anyways when it\'s out here in Finland. Which might take a while, because no retailers even know of the existence of such title. Same with ICO. What\'s it with titles that have only 3 letters in their name...

I bought the game yesterday and it\'s one helluva game!  It\'s the most freaky game I ever played.  It\'s got alot of replay value with the extra modes, not to mention trying to get 100%.  Thanks Sega for a unique gaming experience!

I was checkin out screens for it, and it looks like a very unique game.  I just have one question: Does it ever get confusing see where you are or anything like that?  With the unique style of graphics it looks to me like it would be a little difficult, but this is from someone who hasnt played the game.  So how is it?

Im spectical of this game. Ok the developers have tried something new in its appearence and style but lets face it the actual gameplay priniciples have been used time and time again since the beginning of gaming, they are basic. Although a lot of reviewers have been selling the game on this fact. I can see this game becoming repetitive fast.

I don\'t want to bust your bubble, but there isn\'t hasn\'t been a truly original game in quite some time. REZ attemps to be original and while the core elements it is still a shooter at heart - that doesn\'t make it any less fun. If you are waiting for an original game, then you\'re in for along wait . As for me, I\'m happy with a perfectly good shooter , that takes a new approach with the genre.
