Constantin Films recently released new photos from their upcoming film \'Resident Evil,\' based on Capcom\'s popular horror game series. Scheduled for release in American theaters on March 15th, the film will be a prequel of sorts to the game series. Specifically, the movie will feature an original story and new characters. As previously reported, the film will star Milla Jovovich as \'Alice,\' Michelle Rodriguez as \'Rain,\' Eric Mabius as \'Matt,\' and James Purefoy as \'Spence.\' Originally scripted by horror maven George Romeo (Day of the Dead), the film was directed by Paul Anderson (Mortal Kombat) and will be distributed by Sony.













is there any possibility that sony are distributing the film for personal reasons.. we all know how much
sony would like the franchise back on thier black box..

Any views?

Looks like an B-movie..... Lets hope thats not the truth :(
Any of u seen the Residen Evil movie that was released in 1998 or something like that.... the story was about some sort of virus on a oil rig. Realy a bad movie .( And had nothing to do with the games.

yea the quality seems lacking to me too

oh well i never cared about this film anyway - the zombies look like ass though and the cg monster seems like well too cg i guess

From what I have heard, it will not be PG-13 rating now. Instead, it will be R rated. I guess someone changed their mind about the lowered rating and decided to go for it. Now, I still have reservations about this movie (it is being directed by Paul Anderson, makers of crap like Soldiers and Event Horizon [though Mortal Kombat is decent]). However, from the reviews of people who have seen the movie, it appears to be a good movie. I\'ll wait and see what happens.
