Played OPS2 Demo and I loved MGS2 and Rez!
« on: January 25, 2002, 07:49:16 AM »
I have played all the demos on the disk and Metal Gear Solid 2 has caused me to lose sleep as I just played it on all difficulties, and Rez just rocks even though it vibrates too much and my hand went numb when the demo finished!
Here are my opinions of the Playable Demos on the Disk as I haven\'t watched all the movies yet! (no time cause I had to get up for work)

MGS2 - Fantastic and I love choking the guards out and hiding them in the lockers! The Demo alone is just so addictive!

REZ - Brilliant Graphics, addictive submersive worlds and gameplay

CRASH BANDICOOT 4 - Completed the full game, but played it anyway.It\'s ok but Jak And Daxter is miles better!

ROBOT WARS - It\'s quite good actually but the movement is completely dodgy as when you try to turn around, you spin really fast! It\'s a good laugh, maybe i\'ll rent it...

SOUL REAVER 2 - It\'s a great game but I\'ve finished the full game like CB4...you can\'t skip the movie at the beginning, which is annoying...still a good demo though, although I have about 3 playable demos of it anyway...

WIPEOUT FUSION...Really addictive demo, Fast paced, tight corners, great graphics and I enjoyed playing it...

PARAPPA THE RAPPER 2 - Funny, decent 2-D graphics but over as soon as it\'s begun, It\'s worth renting but not £45 quid, good laugh overall...

Other opinions would be cool, I\'m going out tonite but Ill play Metal Gear Solid 2 Demo in my spare time...oh and Herdy Gerdy next week...The full game comes out next friday!

Thanx Rich,
Hope you enjoy the demo disk too...
Try Parappa The Rapper 2, it\'s really funny and you make burgers with this French guy...
But MGS2 is really good when you shoot a tranquiliser dart into a guard and whilst they\'re asleep you can drag them and lock them in the lockers...
There\'s not a lot to do after you fight Olga but there\'s more on it than the playable demo u get with ZOE...
anyway I won\'t spoilt it anymore just...BUY THE DAMN DEMO!
Trust me it\'s fantastic!

Rich, I forgot to tell you,
On Rez when you press X to shoot it makes a musical note and you can put together a really catchy tune whilst you play...but a word of warning mate...
After you play Rez your hands may go numb as it vibrates the pad to buggery! lol!
Anyway hope you enjoy MGS2 as much as I did and I hope to hear your opinions too...:)

Having 2 tracks on Wipeout Fusion was good, and Rez was so serene, but Crash Bandicoot was rather awful.

Can\'t wait to sit down and digest the gameplay of MGS.

i though rez was good looking, and fun, but i dont think ill buy the game, can you actually die on it??? as i didnt get hit once!!! i found it a bit easy to be honest, just hold x for a few secs, max the lock on, let go of x, and repeat

Rez is amazing too :O)

On MGS2, when ya do teh harder difficulty the game becomes sooooooo much better, they have better vision and AI, the tension when ya hiding in a locker and ya can see the guards about to find ya is amazing...

Just read all your opinions and Metal Gear Solid 2 was amazing on the hardest settings, the tension of hiding in a locker hoping that the guards won\'t find you was a great touch, and also when a guard wakes up only to find himself stood up in a locker, are just great touches to an already great game...
I thought that the demo was huge as you don\'t have to just go along with the tasks set in hand, you can wander about, find new places, learn the basic and advanced combat techniques and just have fun hiding in a cardboard box hoping the guards won\'t suspect anything...
Rez was really good, and Kopking is right...can u die?
It\'s like playing a game in a 3D world with a tune you create which sounds like some dodgy tune you\'ve knocked up on MTV Music Generator...
It was a good game though but £45 for it is a bit steep...
Crash was boring and unoriginal...I prefered the obvious Jak And Daxxter,
Soul Reaver 2 was ok, but it was a case of been there, done that...
I want to play Herdy Gerdy next month on the playable demo unless the game is already out...
I want to play State Of Emergency, and my pre-ordered copy of MGS2 will be behind the counter waiting for me on the 8th March...
