Not always. It depends if your lens is just dusty or if it\'s actually a faulty lens. Chances are it\'s just a dirty lens though, so a lens cleaner should work just fine.
and how long does it last until the ps2 will start having trouble reading disk errors again?
It depends on how dusty it is around the PS2. If the PS2 starts not working again though, just put the lens cleaner back into the PS2 and clean it again.
