It looks like a lot of people are complaining about disc read errors now.  So, lets make this the post for disc read error info only...

Here\'s the link that tells you how to fix your PS2, btw...  You really only need a screwdriver... it worked for me.

Yeah, it\'s good to be back!  I\'ve been pretty busy working and going to school.  I kind of grew out of the gaming phase.  Luckily, I\'ve now got some more free time and gaming is starting to consume me again :D Anyway, great to be back!
