Looks like it\'d be fun for the first few rounds, but I think the cellshading would get annoying after awhile. Lest for this type of a title. Now if it was a Speed Racer game.... :D

Third thread about this one already, whee!

No online functions for Europe, booo!

I think it looks exhilarating, the videos got me really excited.

From EDGE #106

Quote

"It is too hard to find a solution to play online across Europe," explains Funamizu-san (general producer). "There are too many regional standards. If we had to wait until the market is ready in Europe the game would never be released."

They haven\'t ruled out the online functions completely, but it\'s very, very iffy that they\'ll make an appearance here (on the PS2, that is. The game will quite surely be on its way to the XBox too, with the online stuff. They\'re also working on an arcade version). Which would be a great loss :(

Quote

On the other hand, European gamers will be the beneficiaries of localised content. "We aim to make courses and cars specific to each market. Even if the versions are almost the same, I feel it\'s important to put in some specific features according to the market."

Hopefully the European PS2 owners get at least some decent extras... I  think I\'ll opt for the XBox version if it goes online.

I highly doubt it will be going to XBOX. This has not been comfirmed by either parties.

Hasn\'t been confirmed, hasn\'t been denied, and is still possible. In the EDGE article Funamizu-san said how (very) easy it would be to port it over to the \'Box. Actually, it\'s been developed so that it would be as easy as possible to port it over to any other platform. They\'re just starting with PS2 because it\'s the market leader at the moment.
