Unreal Engine Update:
« on: January 31, 2002, 11:06:47 AM »
Great news!!   ;)

Unreal Engine build 829 was recently released to licensees. The new build is a major update that includes a lot of Xbox specific feature enhacements, providing licensees with rock solid Xbox support, Mark Rein said.

In this build, 829, Epic have implemented optional features like enabling HRTF (head related transfer functions) for more realistic sound spatialization, Quincux FSAA (full scene anti-aliasing) without a noticeable loss of performance (that means that it has no a big impact in the framerate - FPS). They have also added support for HDTV.

Startup and loading times on Xbox have also been optimized and are quite fast. The low level network code is now in on Xbox allowing an Xbox to join a game on a Windows or Linux-based server, but for debugging purposes.

Heres someting for a Japan magazine I just found some one posted.  It an article of Halo or something.

Impressive, knowing the competition is always a good thing, however, what\'s in the making for the PS2, or Game Cube for that matter...

Well, that\'s solid.

An engine that fully takes advantage over Xbox\'s features/power.
Now, did they make sure to enable Trilinear filtering? :)
You think positive, I\'ll think realistic.
