about hosing yer own user pics

i dont have any problem with members hosting thier own pics for two reasons

1. they can change it when they like, and i dont have to be involved
2. its less work for me to edit the control panel

as you can see, both reasons benefit my lazy behind

but there lies a possible problem with this, i lose control.  i lose control of what content the picture contains and the size of the picture itself.

so we\'ll make a deal, if you follow the guidelines

all pics must me NO MORE than 100x100 pixels in width/height, and the total size [kb] has to be reasonable.  no 100k animated gif\'s.  also, no profranity or any sort of nudity.

any graphics program will tell you the size, or click on it in yer browser and select properties

Ah yes. Now I remember. I found one which I\'m probably gonna keep. It is a little more than 100 pixels. Its 125 x 83. I have a pic

why dont you make this as some kind of reward for moderators/people who work on the site/ and a reward for people who have...say...over 3000 posts...

not a bad idea since i have space now sounds pretty good, but since you are the lazy mod, who ACTUALLY thought about this idea??

i think it will freshen up the forum seeing different pics all the time, plus give people to show some artistic traits

mop, 1024 kb is one meg.  

so 100 kb is roughly one tenth of a meg.

it would take a 56k\'r about 20 seconds to download a 100 kb pic
far too long.  

yer pic is 4544 bytes, or 4.544 kb
that would take a 56k\'r less than one second to download
