DAYYYYMMMM... I\'m saving that off. I\'ve been looking everywhere for that pick.

^^^-Agrees with MM. I like that version better. The popup LCD is sweet. All it needs is a blue LED and it\'s perfect.

Yea, I saw that picture in a magazine, I think it was the Official UK magazine. They said it was just an artist impression of what it might  look like

Well DUH. Yeah I know it\'s just a mockup, knew that when I first looked at it. The right side air vents, the disk lid, the Open-Reset-Power buttons, and the fact that the LCD is next to useless at that position kinda give it away as being bogus. Still looks cool as hell tho.

Yes! I remember seeing that in \'Game Informer\', that was a cool mockup. Anyone remember the XBox\'s "X" mockup? (The big ol\' X shaped console that stood up). Eesh, that was hideous.

That console is cool. I mean the actual real ps2 is one ugly son of a console really.

It kinda looks like a PS1 on steroids. It looks cool and all, but I like the concept that made it to the consumers.

I know it\'s cool to have the CD tray slide in and out on the PS2 and XBox, but I\'m willing to bet that there\'d be a lot less CD scratches, and less production cost if they had gone with a flip-up tray like the PSOne.

Well, then again, I would have had to make sure there was about 6" clearance in my entertainment center for the flippy lid.

Nevermind...

yeah i saw that ages ago, a few years ago, it just a artist impression, i think it looks cool, but i dont care what it looks like, more what the games, hardwear is like.

i liked the lcd screen to see what was on the memory card, and the 4 ports. i dont really mind a flip up lid, but i guess its a way to stop people doing the disc swap cheat, that there was for the ps1, cos it had a flip lid. i dont think they went with the flip lid, cos they wanted it to be in most peoples front rooms, and there wouldnt be enough room if there was a flip lid ( like someone else already said)

Actually I think you are wrong about the flip lid.  I totally think they wanted it to be apart of people\'s entertainment centers.  I wish they made it a 13" component.  Then it would fit real nice in a rack.  That would be sweet.
