WWF Smackdown 4
« on: February 07, 2002, 06:01:51 PM »
Tell me what do you want WWF Smackdown 4 to be like on PS2. I myself want it to have bloodier much bloodier and more realistic matches. I want cage and hell in a cell matches more realistic and bloodier. I want players to be able to grab chairs and anything they want from wherever they can get it from. I want game to be able to hold at least 10 characters on screen or even 5 i dotn mind, but please make the game as real and bloody as possible, and cage matches more fun. Hell in a cell should be more realistic, when you fall you shall break your neck or leg or arm, blood everywhere and just gore and ****. I want WWF S4 to have more modes and better modes, not some ****tie modes that ****ing suck like Smackdown 3 and 2 and 1. Game should be more realistic and hardcore. But i fell that WWF S4 will be just a remake for WWF SM3. And as always people will buy it cause its WWF product and no matter if it sucks. Anyway, tell me what ya think.

Or an already extensive vocabulary with several extra 4-letter words.

While SD3 is already a cornucopia of features, it could stand to have an even bigger myriad of ... s***.

;]

I would start from the ground, up.  The control scheme is tired.  They need to put an emphasis on grappling and give the game a more realistic feel.

Then they can worry about stacking tables and getting a 30-man Royal Rumble to work right.  They should also make an extensive roster.  nWo, ECW, WCW, and WWF.  Don\'t hold back.  How about a serious Lumber Jack match with 10 guys outside the ring and a career mode like Wrestlemania 2000 only less linear...

Personally, I\'d also like to see one of those Triple cage matches from WCW and that David Arquette movie.  But before they can reach for the stars, they need to make sure their feet are still on the ground.

its always good to see a spot of bloodlust from our members in the forums

but i would put in SmackDown 3\'s story mode

or make the storymode somewhat RPG\'ish

the best thing about the original smackdown was the fact that you could go through seasons with a friend, have them special guest referee in your Title matches, or challenge them for the title...SD3 was good, but had none of that...the title holder will never change in my game, because im not playing through the story mode ever again now that i have everything unlocked..

After being soooooo pissed off by the short story mode, I would definetly make it longer...
They had hardly any time because THQ were told to make it in a year to keep the fans happy, when they should have been spending two years on it...
How do I know?
Cause I have the full story after I emailed THQ to complain!
I had unlocked all cards within 4 days of buying it as well!
They should put it back a year!
But anyway, they should get a load of WWF Fans in the offices to give their ideas as that would work firstly...
I think Royal Rumble matches are over too quickly and should be more diffficult...
The main problem was the overhyped STORY MODE which was over in 15 minutes!
They should use the ideas they had for the N64 WWF games and involve things like;
1)backstage brawls, that u create yourself...
2)more alliances and break up with other wrestlers...
3)less annoying commentary...
4)A C-A-PPV
5)A longer storyline
6)The Godfather and his Ho\'s
7)More blood
8)The ability to win more than one title
9)Less constricted choices in SM
10)Lumberjack Matches
I have other ideas but as a huge WWF fan, I could be here all day with them...
I still play it but it\'s more of a timefiller now though...

A save file that DOES NOT take up half of a memory card!!!!!
A MUCH MUCH better story mode instead of the BS they had in SD3. Other than that..not too many complaints at all. I\'d definitely like to see more characters like some of the former WCW employes.

maybe if the lip movements matched the speaking... +some voice acting would be nice, but they\'ve gotta do something about the commentary, it was just god awful.  One more thing they need is a larger roster, AND BETTER WRESTLER MODELS!!!

Yeah 4,172kb for a save?!?
Oh yeah, if u watch it when there\'s two wrestlers talking to each other, you see their mouths moving even when the other wrestler is talking...they say more than whats on screen!
I think they should do what they did with The Fink, Michael Cole and Tazz, and get all or some of the roster to record about 50 lines of dialogue, It would be authentic to hear somebody like The Rock on Smackdown! dissing somebody like Triple H on the mic!
Why can\'t you play as Fred Durst in Story Mode?
Anyway, Story Mode is too short!
Why should we be saying this amongst ourselves, wouldn\'t it be more useful to email THQ and tell THEM?

I would like to be able to do more moves with the weapons such as powerbomb someone on a chair or be able to gore a supestar through a table. I would like to see the tables break better and the steel chair to bend! I think the wrestlers should be able to talk trash sort of like in Attitude It\'s lame not to hear the wrestlers talk. It would be cool to actually hear wrestlers groan when you put them in a submission such as the ankle lock.
