Amazing how quickly that Harry Potter movie went out of existance once Lord of the Rings came out.  

Now LOTR has more Oscar nods than any other movie.

imho, LOTR doesnt deserve ANY oscars, except maybe costume design

it would be an attrocity for it to win any major category awards

That\'s the industry for ya... the Academy Awards are pretty weak IMO. It\'s certainly not always the \'best\' movie that wins (or is even nominated), but rather which has had more hype, money, press etc. :eek:

Dude! LOTR\'s was my all time favorite movie of last year. I\'m sure that the next two will rock just as much. Harry Potter sucks. I want in my movies what I want in my games. I don\'t want to see some punk flying around on a broomstick. The hobbits, wizards, elves...man LOTR\'s was slick. If you haven’t read the books, do it...if you have the time, they were equally as cool as the movie.

Art Direction, but Moulin Rouge may get that, although I didn\'t see it, I know it was suppose to have a real nice look to it.

Costume design will definitely be LOTR

I own this movie on DVD.  I saw it twice in the theater and now my wife & I watch it and sing along to the subtitles.
(our favorite part is the duet with all the love songs.)

Dude, you probably don\'t live far from me.  What do you say we have a sleep over.  We can put in the DVD and you and your wife can act out everything singing all the parts while my wife and I laugh at you and throw cheesy poofs at you.  That would rock.


I say this now, but I need to think of something gay to do for the big \'V\' day.  UGH, the HORROR!!!  I can never think of anything to do for my wifey.


PS: You know I only rag because I can\'t sing.  I mean singing to the subtitles is just down right happy times had by all.
