Sprinkles. . .
« on: February 13, 2002, 07:31:13 PM »
So. . . I\'m eating ice cream and I put some chocolate sprinkles in the bowl.

Long story short. . .

I call them "sprinkles," as do most people in the American SouthEast.  My ex, native of NorthEast America, calls them "Jimmies."  Which is totally wrong.

I was wondering what y\'all call them from where you\'re from.

in Australia they are called sprinkles, but the coloured ones are called hundreds and thousands.

Have you tried nerds on your ice cream? I don\'t know if you have them in the US, but they are these small coloured sugar things made by Willy Wonker. We have them at Mc Donalds in the McFlurreys.

They are so nice in Ice Cream.

I have a friend that gets Nerds in her Dairy Queen Blizzards!

Nerds are awesome!

Here in SouthEast America, we have chocolate sprinkles and Rainbow Sprinkles.  Then we also have Sugar Sprinkles, which are like clear Nerds.

What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

Meh, just thought I\'d ask, cuz you said you were from SE America in one post, then SW in another...so yeah, just clarifying and stuff.

Sprinkles are called sprinkles here.  The word jimmies isn\'t in the upstate NY vocabulary.  Only time I really hear that word is when I venture over into *shudder* Massachusetts

ROLF... Massholes... that\'s a great one.

Down in Indiana, Sprinkles are what you put on your ice cream... Jimmies are what you put in your girlfriend. Quote that to her too.
