Looks like John Gruden is coming to Tampa.  Sorry Raider fan.

Finally, it seems like forever, but we have a coach!!!  Let\'s just hope we can get an offense down here and all will be well.

God, they REALLY lucked out. I mean, they should have been forcd to settle for Mike Mularkey for christs sake. But Al Davis gives in...and gets 4 or 5 1st and 2nd round draft picks in the next 3 years...wahoo.

Chiefs - goona wipe the floor with the Raiders now!

What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

He\'s my favorite coach. The Bucs are lucky. But why the hell would he leave the Raiders? The Raiders are so freaking cool!

Raiders...bah. If not for Trent Green, the Chiefs would have beat them both times this year. Trent Green - By far the worst quarterback in the NFL...the Chiefs really need to trade up and get Harrington or something cool and drastic like that.

Alright, for one, their defense ain\'t great, but it\'s good enough to win games. Hell, one Green got his act back together, they won 3 of their last 4 and nearly knocked off the Seahawks in Seattle in the last game of the season, and they didn\'t have Gonzo for the 2nd half of the game. The Chiefs beat the Broncos in OT late in the season, and in the first game, they lost simply becuase Trent Green threw 4 interceptions...to Deletha O\'Neal, off his back foot.

Trent Green has some pretty disgusting displays this year, but hopefully he can get his act together for next year...all the Chiefs need is some Defensive Lineman to accompany Eric Hicks, and they could be a team to reckon with is Eric Warfield and the rest of the secondary play up to par.

Oh yeah, and the Chiefs home jerseys kick ass :)

Raiders got 1st, and 2nd round this year, 1st next year, and 2nd the year after that.  Oh yeah, plus 8 million.  Al Davis got some jack.

Yeah, he sure does....

But who\'s goona be the coach to turn those draft picks into players and make that team good for years to come? Who knows. Get Bill Parcells!

Bah no coach will ever match up to Bill Parcells or Bill Belicheck, who will both end up in the hall of fame.

First of all, the Bucs are luckier than **** to get Gruden after all of this.  Honestly, though, I don\'t know how much it will help.  They seem to sign someone new every year that\'s gonna be their savior.  First it\'s Key, then Rob Johnson.  If you ask me, this will just lead to another first round playoff loss.

And yeah, Green isn\'t even close to the worst quarterback in the NFL.  I blame Vermeil, for trying to run a Ram like offense with a team that doesn\'t have close to Ram like talent.

As for coaches, I don\'t think there is anyone out there better than Bill Parcells.  But Bill Belicheck?  There\'s probably at least 5 active coaches better than him.  He just got lucky that he was matched up against the King of all coaching idiots in Mike Martz.

sorry jamas but i dont see your positivity for the cheifs being very warranted. trent green didnt play that much worse than jim miller this year and look at what the bears did. blaming the qb is always the easiest thing to do. you cant talk about how they "almost" beat somebody cause that doesnt mean anything to me. they didnt beat em.

so what if green played a little better they would have gone 7-9 maybe 8-8. big fricken deal, the chiefs are still FAR from being a super bowl contender.

snoop is cool though. hes gonna be really good next year i think.

and sorry man i HATE the cheifs uni\'s... HATE EM!

im a life long bears fan so i know all about being loyal to a mediocre team. and the chiefs are just that, a mediocre team. sh!t for years the bears werent even mediocre they were downright pitiful!

Yeah, I\'m a Bears fan, too (Mike Brown is God, oh yeah, He\'s a Husker, too), but I\'ve been a Chiefs fan through thick and thin...from the 13-3 home field advantage years, to these years, and I hate them. The Chiefs do have some tools, and Green did get better as the year progressed. Vermiel is still trying to work in his Rams style offense, he\'s going to get rid of Derrick Alexander, which I hate, but he\'s 6.2 million against the cap, and the Chiefs got 4 up and coming recievers in Snoop Minnis, Sylvester Morris, Kennision, and there\'s this Canadian League McCaffery Protege that\'s about 6\'4 and who has excellent hands and speed, so who knows.

I know it wasn\'t totally on Trent Green, becuase the Defense was pretty awful during the first half of the season. I mean, in a game against the Cardinals, they let Arizona have the ball for 80% of the 2nd half. Even so, the Chiefs made nearly every game they lost competative, including both Oakland games, which they lost by a combined 5 points.

True, the Chiefs have a long way to go, but give it one or two years with some good draft picks and Vermiel doing good things, and the Chiefs could be playoff contendors sooner or later...just gotta hope.

Mike Martz = Offensive Genius

Bill Belicheck = Defensive Genius

That coach, who got NFL Coach of the year, Bill Belicheck got as much out of his team as he possibly could.  In just his second season as head coach WINNING a Superbowl, and guiding your team from 0-2 to 14-5 record(3-0 in postseason) is not only great, it\'s extroidanary.  Getting Belicheck was the best thing Bob Kraft ever did.
