I find that a broom handle normally does the trick, failing that, just leave it on all night ;)

i normally put mine on standby, unless im out all weekend, so its not gonna be used, then ill turn it off, if i do turn it off at the back, i take the disc out, as i heard that when you turn it on at the back sometimes the lens goes to high and can scratch the disc.

Doesn\'t really matter, I never use standby. When I know I\'m not going to play again for the day I use the back switch.

Yes it does

a.) Turning off any computer device hard (on/off switch) is harder on the components

b.) Turning off the PS2 with a disc in the trey can cause the laser to mis-align and scratches on your discs

I always use the stand-by (red light) mode. Its easier then the on/off switch and its the way the machine was designed to be turned off

only when you are not planning n using the PS2 for a a week or 3 should you use the on/off switch

I pull the cord in the middle of gameplay.. Also you know how they tell you never to remove or shut it off while saving a file? Well... I did it... It was fun do it... Nothing happens!.. Also try pressing ALT + S + T + F4....

I just reset--> take the game out--> Hold reset(standby)...
.... take the skin and peel and back...

now doesn\'t it make you feel better?
