Ghettomath\'s CD Recommendation #2
« on: February 23, 2002, 11:57:27 AM »
Hello again.  If anyone possibly cares, I have found another great CD that I thought I should share with all the extremely sexy...errr nice people in these forums:

Band:  Catch-22
LP Name:  "Keasby Nights"

Catch-22 is a great ska band out of New Jersey (yea the only drawback) with just so much...culture.  They all look like those band geeks you wedgied.  They have strange obsession with the mob.  They make songs that rock.  The lead singer\'s voice is scratchy and fast but is backed, and balanced, with a nice horns section.  They have acoustic solos, electric solos, bass solos, brass solos, even FLUTE SOLOS.  Listening through "Keasby Nights" is like summer crammed into 45 minutes.  If you would like, download some of these puppies and tell me what you think:

Catch 22- "Keasby Nights" (song name is the same as the album)
                "Supernothing"
                "Walking Away"

Audiogalaxy, is one of the best if not the best sites to download music. You can find anything u want there if u look hard enough.

LOL, my bad, I\'m in a good mood today. :p

Anyway, without Audiogalaxy, I wouldn\'t have all 1200+ songs I have today.

Good stuff man, thanks.  I downloaded a Catch-22 song, and it\'s damn good!  I love Ska, but I don\'t have a whole lot of Ska records.  I think my favorite Ska band is rapidly becoming Bim Skala Ska.  I love so many of their songs like "Bangin\' " and "Not Natural" and "Day\'s Work."  They have lots of albums and they really kick ass. :)

I love how ska just can\'t keep away from supplementing the word "ska" in everything:

Bim Skala Ska
SKAtastic
MetalliSKA
oSKAma Bin Laden
