nVidia not part of project X-box2?

Please excuse me if this was mentioned before, but i looked on this forum and I didn\'t find anything resembling this.

That has driven Via to heights of unparalleled ecstasy because the plucky little company now reckons it could get the whole deal - graphics chipset & CPU.

Would you like to know more? VIA? In that case I think I\'ll skip on X-Box 2. Anyone up for a VIA C3 & Savage 2000 powered console? Thought not. Given VIAs track record a Motherboard powered by them will either result in something broken on it, requiring several revisions to fix it, before something else is found. As for CPU? What CPU. If NVIDIA\'s out for real then all I can say is ATI or Power VR in - both have real world experience in consoles, more so Power VR (Other than Dreamcast they do Sega Arcade machines).

What I can draw from this. Unless ATi is somehow not involved with the next Nintendo project, I can\'t picture ATi making such hardware for Microsoft. I\'m not going to eliminate ATi completly just because of their poor drivers, but how much they hype up on a product, and it\'s always half aced. Not exceptional.

Right on SonyFan. They should atleast get some decent games on the machine before talking bout XBox2. Halo\'s the only one that comes to mind that is a good game on the X-Box

FIRST they charge £300 for the Console alone
then they wont tell you its going to be £50 per game
also in the UK (well Scotland at least) they are trying to force everyone to buy memory cards (what ever happend to the Hard drive :rolleyes:  )

Has given all X box titles very "high" scores
infact they practiclly came over HALO and did\'t even mention the horror of Slow Down or the 15 FPS on 2 player or COOP!

It\'s typical for a company to be thinking ahead of itself once it released it\'s product. You think Intel just stopped when it produced it\'s first 1GHz processor? They have been working on the 2GHz. Plus, around October, when they finally researched a new transister technology, it was able to have the power in the near future of having a 10GHz chip.

Same theory applies here. Once Sony released it\'s PS2, it was well on it\'s way to developing the PS3, or whatever name it has in store for it.

Also, don\'t let my avatar fool anyone, I have a couple cool "other" things I can do. I think I just felt more "special" when I was granted my avatar.

ehh, wouldn\'t say they were developing it, just discussing it.  Problly setting gols for how the want the machine to be and stuff like that, oooh just hearing the name PS3 makes me all tingly inside.
