At the beginning it was launched as a great and impressive game of Sony Europe... but I wonder where is the game. It was announced more than 1 year ago... and no more pics have been shown. The game still appears in the lists of games from Europe, but I haven\'t heard about it in months... I suppose it isn\'t cancelled but then... when is it coming out? any date?

It was rumoured to have been canned, but from online reports I\'ve read, it seems it still going... Way over budget and way over hyped, but its supposedly still coming.

Being released at the end of March apparently.

However surely we would have heard more information. If you ask me theres no way it will be released at the end of March. Im predicting a September 2002 release date.

Yeah, theres practically been no news what so ever at all for ages. There was an article at playstation.com.au, but thats just about it.

Hopefully they come through with a killer game, though I doubt it.

Oh well, looks like we need to wait till GTA4...

It got delayed till May..
The official story is that they wanted an Online mode in it.
I think it has something to do with GTA3..

The Getaway wants to be more like GTA3.. :shy:

i\'ve heard that it comes out in july and it should be at e3 in playable form

Well, there was this raport of several deaths on the dev
team of "The Getaway", so they had to cancel the game.

LOL. You\'d think this had happened though. It would be a
shame since it is a Sony 1st/2nd dev game and I guess alot
of money and hype already went in it.

bleh....I dont even know if theres any true concept to this game anyway. Screw Getaway, I\'ll wait for GT4 and GTA4. Hopefully they make another Ridge Racer hoping it wont suck this time.

yea, unless they suck ajoh. U can have a billion games come out on a system but if they suck does\' it make the system worth anything? But PS2 has already had a vast number of great games, I was just making that point.

People has said The Getaway never existed.

Well PSM2 (UK) has seen it and played it.

yeah i was wondering what happened to this!!! hope it does come out and lives up to its hype, the screens looked cool and i heard some cool features, like when getting chased by police, when getting out of your car you dont just run or fight ala gta3, you can take people hostage etc

SOny has a dozen games they haven\'t shown much of

You can bet there waiting for E3 with all consoles out and ready to show there best games
