Unfortunately the fact is that even if you\'re one of the world\'s greatest athletes, you need to maintain your integrity in competitive events even after you\'ve finished you greatest achievements. If I was one of the greatest basketball stars of all time, and then it was revealed after my retirement that I cheated on my taxes the whole time, people would think less of me, but they\'d always say "he was really a great basketball player." However if it was later revealed that I fixed games late in my career and shaved points, then every athletic accomplishment I ever obtained would be questioned.
You\'ve got to maintain integrity in your chosen field until the end. There are no shortcuts.
BTW, what does "serious problems with german dirigents" mean? I didn\'t quite understand that.
