Yeaaaaaaaaaaah!!!! 5-2 Canada!

This thread is defintaly not spam, so lets carry on w/this little convo.

oh yea, where were we?  hmm......Canada got lucky.  

Lucky: Belarus beating Sweden 3-2 after being outshot 47-18, and being completely outplayed for 60 minutes.

Not Luck: Canada beating the US 5-2, with better chances, and controlling the play better for 2.5 periods (the beggining of the third was scary :eek: ), well, that\'s just.. fate... or destiny.

SCREW CANADA.. sorry i was just saying that all day after i watched the game. yea i think we can give canada their props at hockey because thats bout all they got on us.... and the mounties, theyre pretty kewl too...

Well I think Canada disserved to win the game because they really wanted it....but it\'s just hard to see the U.S. take a defeat in that game seeing as the NHL has pretty much every great Canadian hockey player there is.  What\'s even more wack, is Canada, if Im correct were the last expected to win the gold, oh well guess they proved themselves.  Thats ok, USA will suck it up and bring on a hell of a rath in 2006 :evil:

yea sorry bout that one psx_j but i dont think anyone besides canadians are proud of them, everyone else just seems pretty pissed off about it.  but like i said i guess we can give the props to them.. this time

Hey, Apollo did well!  He won the first two, and it\'s not his fault Rusty fell in the relay.

Oh, and whatever you say, that was a close game.  The score was close for most of it, too.  They came so close more than once in that there 3rd period.  Of course, when the Canucks scored a goal in the third, the USA\'s efforts probably died down a bit, letting in another, and not scoring.  Ah well, Canadia was better.  Too bad they didn\'t get eliminated back in the beginning (you know it coulda happened; if they\'d played Russia or USA, or almost anyone but Germany then, they woulda been gone).  At least we got a silver, and the North Americans totally dominated the Games (And a lot of the good players on the other teams were NHL, too!  Hurrah!).

Believe me, I\'m sure that after Sweden got eliminated, most of europe was behind Canada.  I\'m sure most Russians were, as well.

Don\'t take this the wrong way, but a lot of the world really doesn\'t like the US, because it\'s so self-centered and arrogant.  The week that a european jet crashed, killing all aboard, 1 Canadian, no Americans?  CNN had 24 hour coverage of Lewinsky or OJ (Can\'t remember which it was), including panels about how important this scandal was.  
That\'s why the US will never be as popular internationally as Canada is.

Well damnit what do you think makes us American, our good looks, personality, the amazing size of our genitals. why yes, all of those.. but we are also known for our self-centeredness and arrogance.. im sorry, but thats what makes me an american.. and a damn proud one at that    sorry just got a little emotional there.

sorry but if you get to make fun of us because of hockey we get bragging rights to football, and baseball, and basketball, blah you get it.

Actually, Canadian football is much more fun to watch.  Because it\'s three downs, and wider fields, they have only two carries to get a first down.  That means they do a lot more passing, and outside running, rather than US football, in which a lot of teams just pound it straight up the middle for 3-4 yards each play.  Worst football I\'ve ever watched.  I\'d love to see an NFL team take on a CFL team on our sized field.  Our passing and running skills would decimate them, and they would keep getting 7 yards then punting.
