console making funny sounds when playing TTT, WTF?...

i was playing TTT and i noticed that the console made these loud, stratchy sounds.  i thought it was screwing up my disc, so i took the game out to look, but it was okay.  all my other games are DVD games, TTT is not, is that why it makes that sound?  is it messing something up, like the lens in the PS2?

I Believe the PS2 Spins DVDs Faster than normal CD\'s  so that might be why you are hearing noises..... anyone else confirm/deny this?

yeah i had this prob, with starwars, it always made alouder noise when loading, if you have it ob its side it makes it quiter. i took the game back, and got a new one, but it must be cd games that do it.



but dont put the ps2 on its side while its playing, as i know people who have done this, and really scratched there games up!!!

Actually it spins DVDs (4x) slower that CDs (24x), and TTT is a CD game. Oddly, it\'s the only CD game that seems to be making loads of noise in my PS2...

Recently, my PS2 started making really REALLY weird noises when I\'ve been playing Rez. The unit is bulging from the bottom a bit, don\'t know if it\'s pregnant or what, but after I pushed it\'s tummy in a bit, it stopped making the weird grinding sound... go figure

Do not Litter it with your insane rantings .

if you open the booklet that came with your PS2 and phone your local technical help line number like any normal HUMAN ! (or Chimp ) insted of comming in here can gimping us all out with your Zero level of brain cells !

All CD\'s spin faster than DVD\'s ... and for me the only CD that is Noisey is the Metal Gear Solid 2 demo that came with ZOE !

Heck, they all seem a bit noisy to me.  Usually when a game is loading or something is when I hear it the most

sorry dude, but am i the only one doing this?  asking questions about problems with their ps2\'s?  i dont think so.  geez, i didn\'t know it was that time of the month for you, calm down.

oosevens been here long enough to see many ppl do it so if u think about it that way Im sure u can kinda understand why he\'s annoyed by it.

i understand that he has seen this a bunch of times, probably everyday, but i always see threads moved and stuff, i dont see anyone being told to call tech support and stuff, or being called a gimp.  whatever, its just the internet, its not life.

Dude i had that same problem when ever i played TTT!!! it was this loud annoying sound, the only way i could block out the sound was to turn the volume way up!:) Anywayz i havent played the game since, i thought it would mess up my system or something.
