Result of Street Racing!!!
« on: March 04, 2002, 10:54:31 PM »
One of my friends is in the hospital because some kid stabbed him 17 times in the back, because the kid lost to him in a street race, my friend is in intensive care in Austin, Tx has a punctured lung, and his kidneas are failing, not only that he is only 17 years old, and it all happened at a jack in the box in the drive through, all cuz the kid got smoked, dont get me wrong but i enjoy cars as just as much as anyone else, but to stab someone cuz you got your ass whipped is bullsh!t. I dont know who this kid is but he better get into custody, otherwise he\'ll turn up
dead.

sorry to hear about that.  I hate it when someone just can\'t lose with dignity.  do u know that kid?  because that was attempted murder, or to a lesser extent atempted man slaughter, due to the multiple stabbings, it would be considered a crime of pasion, thus manslughter.

yup, what theo said...then some

I participate at streetraces often..if not racing myself..usually just watching and hanging out. The thing is, one has to know where to go and where not to go. Every city that has a street race *circuit* has at least 2-3 of them..sot here are good and bad choices are far as the streets go.

Actually manslaughter is unintended death, resulting from negligence or a preventable accident.  Like if a truck flips cause the guy didn\'t want to change the bald tires (that he knew about), killing a bystander.

If you kill someone in a fit of passion, as opposed to a planed death, that\'s murder in the second degree.  Like this case.

However, when people co-operate, and plea-bargain, you can often get a murder case sentenced as a manslaughter in the first degree case, which carries a far lesser sentence.  In Canada, 12-25, with parole possible after 1/3rd of the sentence is over.

Sorry to hear about that man. I hope the best for him. I enjoy racing, I have a 67\' camaro and also a 97\' camaro. The 67\' runs in a bout 12 flat. which is ok, like to be better. Street racing can and is a very bitter hobby if you will. And people just need to take their POS and leave when they lose, wish it would work that way.

Good news is he is up and talking to people, both of his lungs collapsed, and his kidneys started to fail, but he made, I don\'t know all the truths, but he is gonna be in serious but stable condition for awhile.

Still sounds bad, but at least it looks good for him. My wishes go out to him, friends and family.

Thats sad! what a sore loser that guy is for being so mad after a street race, and then lose his sanity and to stab someone multiple times. When i lose a street race i dont get mad at all i just get embarrased or if we stop i just say "damn your car is fast" or "whatcha got under there.":D
Keep it sideways......Initial D style!!!

There is a Chinese saying that goes "losing is winning\'s monther" meaning without losing there wouldn\'t be winning.  So, whenever I lose on a street race (or anything else for that matter): I tell myself I will win someday, and try to think about what I did wrong sothat I can make it better.

I am not sure all of the details, they know who it is and he will be prosecuted, the thing is that it was 11 on three, so I know who stabbed but everyone that helped is also responsible, I believe, so I don\'t know who all will go to a prison cell, but I hope they all do.
