You could study it for a hundred years and still not know it all.  My advice is if you\'re interested go try one out.

Does a baseball bat count?    Well seriously i never really got into that stuff. But I am a wrestler (in h.s not the professional bull****) so in a way that could ba a self defence. As my coach puts it "All wrestling is, is a controlled fight" And I have to agree. Bout broke my neck once.  So I guess I have allot of respect for people that do that stuff but, eh, not for me. So rock on people!!!
I never wanted to change the world, i only wanted the simple things, if this is my stage i hope you can hear me screaming, i dont want this shit anymore......

Hey jinxx I\'m a wrestler too.  True in wrestling you have a much greater chance of getting hurt but in a fist fight wrestling won\'t help you much.  I mean, you might accidentally pin him!

Since then, I also took a three week course on \'streetfighting\', which I took from a career cooler, when I began looking into becoming a police officer.  I think that martial arts will be more practical though - street fighting, at least the style I learned, is all about putting your man down quickly and painfully, and will probably cause some lasting damage (especially to the knees).

if you were thinking about becoming a LEO, did you think about taking some Russian Sambo?  It consist of mostly joint locks, which you can imagine is quite usefull when trying to get someone to cooperate with you.  I\'m thinking about seeing if there are any local teachers, because I\'ll be starting a career as a LEO, within a year.

Ya that is true but it helps with reflex and i have used a hammer lock to make a kid 2x my size submit. it was just the other day too. But I Will admit it isn\'t the greatest in a fight but whatever works works.
