although i feel bad for the innocent students that were shot and killed, i laugh at and mock every single parent who tried to trade thier kids death for money by suing the "video game market"

shame on them

Sanders\' wife Linda [one of the teachers killed wife] refused to comment on Babcock\'s ruling. Her lawyer, John DeCamp, said he hadn\'t seen the decision but would almost certainly appeal it.

well of course, the lawyer is the one collecting the most money, even if the greedy parents lose the appeal

reminds me of last year when some old hag tried to sue my company cause she tripped and fell over a small crack in our parking lot.  she lost naturally, but it wasted time and money

There was an ad on the tv the other day from some lawyer soliciting lawsuits to sue stock brokers for neglegence.  That would be great.  You could win both ways, both if the stock market goes up or down.

I agree with your statement above MM, I got to know one of the kids that went to the school. The devastation to the kids life was intense. However, blaming it all on a game (especially "DOOM") is not the answer for retribution sakes.

Suing is too common now. The company my dad used to work for got sued because a guy got asbestosis from his machine. They don\'t even use asbestos. Hell, it is illegal. People can sue for anything. We need stricter laws. This is out of hand.

true, very true.  my dad had the same problem that mm had at his business.  my dad owns a hotel and some old guy said that he slipped in the lobby entrance, but no one saw it.  we apologized and he said he was okay, well a year later this guy tried to sue us, we were like WTF!!!  however, both of our lawyers talked and we got the guy to admit he was scamming us out of $25K!!!!  thats all we ever here at the hotel, i\'m gonna sue, i\'m gonna sue.  a lot of the time stupid stuff doesn\'t get looked at in court, or is thrown out, but like titan said, its too common now, and people love to waste there time, and others, to sue for money that is NOT due to them.  i mean, my family works hard at the hotel, so we feel really pissed when some idiot tries to rip off $25k from us, undeserving bastard!
sorry i ranted, just a touchy topic.
