I happen to own 3 cats... Besides that, I don\'t see just how useful certain humans are, even some on this board (not to name names), but that doesn\'t mean I\'m going shove a screw up their ass and carry them around like hannibal lecter.  However, I am rethinking that policy in light of how useful certain people *think* they are to society you bunch of resource consuming wastes of space. ;)

I don\'t hate cats, but I have to say that I think some people love them way too much.  I mean it gets weird when you run into a "cat person" who just luvs their kitty kats, and their cats LUV THEM TOOOOO!!!  

Bleccchhh.  I don\'t understand it.  I mean cats are pretty dumb, they just have predator instincts that make them look like they\'re smart.  They have no ability to love a human, as far as I\'ve been able to tell.  You can own a cat for 10 years, feed it, pet it, and support it, and then one day you try to pick it up and it will ram it\'s claws in to your arm.  Next morning you\'ll find that it\'s crapped on your rug.

Dogs are smarter and at least they will react intelligently to your emotions and show some loyalty to you if you help them out.  That\'s just my opinion.

An animal is an animal no matter how you position them (cats and dogs) in their role in society (which is nothing to begin with).  They\'re pets and they offer companionship to those who treat them well.  I don\'t see how that\'s useless.

I prefer dogs over cats..

But I do like cats as well. Their independence & pride. They won\'t come running to you when you call their name. They\'ll come if they feel like it.

Cats, lions, cheetahs, etc... Can\'t help but admire em.

As a pet I\'d choose a dog over a cat anyday.
