GT4 Will Blow Your Mind

A recent flurry of Japanese Websites have been talking up the first snippet of Gran Turismo 4. The sites have posted that GT4 was shown behind some very closed doors and that the game absolutely blew the onlookers minds. It looks stunning, and it\'s definitely, definitely online. Ohmigod.

I\'ll have to see it to believe it, but if this is true, then wow.  My mind is already blown just thinking about it.

well we all knew it would happen again, Racer is going to talk about nothing, but GT4 for the next year.  

but seriously, I\'m already looking forward to this title, but unfortunetly it will be so over hyped, that no matter how good it is, it will be thought of as a let down to many gamers.

Well, you can keep me upto speed Racer, i love the GT series and this news just makes me stiff.

I\'m currently about 98% completed GT3.. just about 16 more gold licenced tests to do, and about 4 Endurance races.

Sounds good, but I hope that the game will support off line play as well. PSO\'s off line play lacked a little imagination. I just hope that GT4 won\'t be centered on its online capabilities.

GT3 blew my mind as it was, I cant imagine what GT4 will be like.

Drool, GT4, I just hope it has drag racing along with it, that would be the shizzit. GT3 was great graphically and gameplay wise, but lacked some of the things I enjoyed from GT2.

If GT4 is as much of an improvement on GT3 as GT2 was on GT, this is going to be pretty damn good indeed. POLYPHONY, LISTEN - We need more rally courses and stages!

Well GT3 only used 25% of PS2. If thats true... Then, then I can only imagine GT4.

The only thing I was worried about though was if it was going to be on PS2 or PS3. Now, I know PS3 is ages away (2005), but before this article there was a report on the PS3 hardware being shown to some top SONY execs.

It just gave the impression GT4 would be on the PS3. I highly doubt it though, I mean, 2005 is a long time between games, considering GT3 was realeased in JAPAN early 2001...

I find that a little hard to believe seeing as how PS3 hardware isn\'t even close to being finalized yet the last I heard. I may be wrong in this, but wasn\'t that IBM/Toshiba/Sony chip due out in 2005 (Cell) going to be the main CPU in the PS3 or is that only going to handle the processing server side?

My money is that hardware diagrams and proposed specs were shown to top Sony execs, along with either a partially playable demo or a FMV playing on a machine which matches what the PS3\'s specs are hoped to be. That\'s IF.. it\'s a PS3 game.

Chances are very.. VERY good that it\'s a PS2 game.. and that it\'s been overhyped.

PS3 does not exists..
Its a bunch of very powerful computers emulating the CELL processor.

The Cell processor is still in development and it still has no final specs.

GT4 IS a PS2 game.
PS3 is 4-5 maybe even 6 years away. (You never know)

I read that GT4 will be the last GT game on PS2. PD will then make some other games (Ive heard talks about a RPG, motorcycle racing game ect.)

SonyFan: I would not say its been overhyped until I get to see the pictures myself.

I still haven\'t played GT3 properly yet. Ill get it now its on budget I think.

As for GT4, it should be good. I just hope they make the AI better. The PS3 will be being worked on as we speak. These things take years - to that effect the PS4 will have been talked about at some time or another. Im sure Sony will already have a sure idea what the PS3 will be like. More important is when they release this information.
