9/11 on CBS Sunday Night
« on: March 09, 2002, 04:43:31 AM »
Are you going to watch?

This is the footage from the French press that were following around a rookie cop the day of the terrorist attack.  They were the first and only camera to capture the event at ground zero.

Supposedly you will not see a lot of gore.  They will still not show the bodies falling, but you apparently will hear them land.  It is suppose to be rather chilling and to the point.

This is pretty important to be seen because it seems that our country already is getting lax.  We just need something to remind us what in the heck is going on and why we are over there taking care of business.

So what do you think of CBS airing this?  Will you watch?

Hey, I think this is a good idea for them to air the report. I for one will be watching it. I hope that America wakes up and stays allert to what we are doing over in the Middle East. God forbid if we let our guard down again and allow some Ahab the Arab to come over and give us another lashing.

The whole thing is sponsored so I don\'t think there will be any commercials.  Well maybe one break, but I know this will be very free of advertising.

you\'ll watch.  If not for the importance of it, you will watch just like you always look at a traffic accident as you drive by slowly holding up the traffic behind you where I am sitting there late for work.

Well, I suggest you tape it then because in 20 years you may want to show your kids what our Pearl Harbor was like.  I wish I would have roled tape on the first 6 hours of the event to show my son what all this was about.

I do have video of Logan trying to learn how to crawl with video of it behind him.  "Not a care in the world, you just want to crawl and look at what is going on."

You’re too fast for me MM. I wondered what you meant originally (before you edited your post) about my ignorance.

As for the ethocentricity topic, "Arab" is a term used for Arabic people. The middle east is full of them. I\'m sure that with your infinite wisdome though, you knew this. Thanks for making me think this morning man. Not to mention that "ethocentricity" is not a word. I assume you ment Ethnocentricity? Which of course means "characterized by or based on the attitude that one\'s own group is superior". But again, I\'m sure you knew this.

i skipped the \'n\', BFD

anyways, it seems to me you are against the "arabs" as a whole
you dont see this as wrong?

i edited it from ignorance to ethNocentricity cause it seemed less harsh [which is strange for me to do]

afghanistan [home of taliban] is NOT an arab county, but im sure you knew this
;)

Okay, so maybe I was being a bit racist in my comment, I\'m sorry.:(
No I don\'t hate them. I just used the term as an innocent way to describe those that committed the heinous act on 9/11. And just so you know, I did appreciate the fact that you edited your previous post.;)

oS I do.

There\'s two WTC shows coming up I believe.  I probably won\'t catch either despite being interested.  One, I probably won\'t be home.  And two, I\'d rather not be apart of "CBS Exploits the Crisis."

I\'ve seen it once (many, many times); I\'m good.
