The chart may have been posted to day, but their of the week in which I believe is the Xbox launch. The good news, for Tecmo, at least relative to the Xbox total sales, it is doing "well". But the Xbox itself...going to be a while before it takes a hold of the Japanese market...if ever.

but this is very old because........i mean cmon its already official GC has sold over 300k units and that was a while ago but GO GC! SILVER! AND GO PS2! GOLD!

Xbox is going to have a long way to go before it takes a foothold in Japan (as I said before) with both the GC and the PS2 selling pretty well even now (more so with the PS2, but now that Square is back developing games for the GC, even harder for the Xbox to take a foothold).

How long did it take it to reach 1 million??  I believe it was around 4-5 months.  After Super Smash Bros. came out...

How long will it take xbox to sell a half a million at a rate of 15k a week..? which will probably drop down to 12k a month or lower.. with no sign of improvment beacuse of lack of software

Lets do the math

123k (launch) + 30k (week 2) + 20k (estimated week 3) = 173k

Being very optimistic, and assuming it stays at 15k (not likely at all)
It should take the xbox about 6 months to sell 500k total
