Microsoft\'s marketing muscle makes it\'s way to Europe just in time for launch.
 
 
March 12, 2002 - As part of the European launch of the Xbox this Thursday, Microsoft is launching an Xbox only digital television channel that will be on the air for eight hours a day for the next four weeks...but only in Denmark.

Viasat has 500,000 digital TV subscribers throughout Scandinavia and those viewers will have the option of tuning to Xbox demo reels and information between the hours of 3pm and midnight every day for the four weeks following the March 14 launch of the system. Pop ads encouraging viewers to check out the Xbox channel will show up on other digital television channels as well.

IGN will have more on the European Xbox channel as soon as we learn how to say "Thank Billness, we get 20 beloved Xbox games at launch!" in proper Danish.

Look at us, wasting all our money on needless things.  While we could be donating money to charitys or the economy we decide to spend it on such mindless things as an X-Box channel that no one will watch.  But hey, were Microsoft, we can do whatever we want!

Just do something less stupid and less expensive.

Hey, I thought it was pretty cool. I would watch some of it if I could.

I would watch a FFXI channel if they had live video from the game.  They could have an in-game camera man to go out and cover events and large battles.
