Im thinkin of buying an x-box. do u need a memory card like u do with the ps2, if so, they are far too much money. LET ME KNOW ASAP please.

if you dont wanna take yer save game to a friends house, no
just save on the hard drive [all its good for anyways] [please dont say for ripping yer own soundtrack, cause only 2-3 games take advantage of that feature :rolleyes:]

so basically, you dont need a 40$ memory card if u just use the 20 gig internal one

Yeah like mm said but you can ripp losts of soundtracks on the Xbox hard drive and play it back when you want to later.

Hehe I have heard 40 gig for the PS2, but who knows...  I would buy a HD for the PS2 this minute if it was available.  I can\'t even find a damn memory card... other than that Interact piece of crap.:mad:

You could get one off of eBay - Also Best Buy around here has loads of them so if there is a Best Buy near you then check them out.

Even if the hard drive was only a gimmick(which it isnt) then it would still be a really nice feature considering memory cards cost $40 each and for most people you need more then 1.

I dont get why anyone would buy an XBox memory card though. Why do you need to take your saves to a friends house?

Also, loading your own soundtrack is awesome. Allows you to turn an \'E\' game into an \'M\' game depending on what kind of music you listen to.

its funny how ps2ers bash the hard drive as dismissable or stupid, but then cant wait for the ps2 one (which will put another 100 on an already overpriced system)

cant wait for the PS2 one, so that they can play their favorite games on it..

XBox right now has one which is useless as their favorite games dont take full advantage of it  :)

the Xbox hard drive is used for A LOT more then a big mem card. Developers use it to make huge landscapes,small loading times & not to mention that when XOL (Xbox online) comes around you can download more landscapes,more weapons & other downloads.
