is it true that microsoft have to pay sony for every game made for the xbox because sony invented the cd and dvd disc formats and the logo,s are licensed to sony?

sony is part of the DVD Consortium
I do belive they they get a portion of the cost of DVD lisencing of the xbox that MS has to pay to use DVD per unit (which I belive is more for movies)

Yes, and Sega has patented the 3-D technology in games so companies like Namco has to pay Sega for all those Tekkens, etc...

In Japan, at least...

I don\'t remember exactly but it had something to do with 3-D games.
