timesplitters is great, its a fps (first person shooter), its really ggod,the controls are a it weird to begin with, but they are very good....some dont like the 1p game, but i loved it...its platinum now (£20) so its very cool. if you are not sure rent it

Try Twisted Metal: Black too, thats good fun 2p, you can fight each other, or co-operate against the computer. This (aswell as many of the ones KK listed) can also be played 4 player with a multitap.

I have never been a fan of twisted metal.. is it diffrent gameplay in twisted metal: black?

Its the best one in the series, I wouldn\'t say its different gameplay.  Its still fighting with cars but its more like refined gameplay.  Lots more fun than any of the others.

Yeah it does, 2p co-op too. James Bond:AUF is another good multiplayer game, Red Faction is ok 2p, but has no 4p option.
