No, Glasgow is a city in Scotland. I was trying to address the both of you in one sentence, and it didn\'t work out. (me drunk)
No, sweden doesn\'t do all of that...
In fact I don\'t think Sweden does anything. I can\'t remember the last time I picked up a product and it said "made in Sweden". (unless it was awkward pop music or unattractive, overpriced cars.)
So lay down and play dead just like you "neutral" countries always do. Oh, and feel free to criticize any country who stands up for themselves.
Fastson, 00seven, you guys are some of my faves here. So don\'t take this personally. When your country is attacked, I will stand behind you. I just don\'t think you live in fear like I do.
Cheers mates.
I don’t think the US imports much Swedish made stuff.. All the stuff we make you can make by yourselves.. So its no real point.
But.. here are some things you encounter every day that were thought up here.
Ball bearing - I bet your car has some of that

Zipper - Every time you dress

Monkey wrench - When you want to fix something
Colour Monitor
Control System for ships
Da mouse that you use on your computer.
Tetrapak - ya know the carts that you have your milk in
I dont know the English name but we invented the machine that separates fat from milk..
That’s all I can think of right now.. (Oh there is Dynamite.. you know Alfred NOBEL dont you? And control system for lighthouses..)
Your Army uses Swedish weapons btw.. AT4 is Swedish (Bofors), Carl Gustav RPG Launcher is Swedish (Bofors).. They are developing some new stealth ship HMS Visby (Kockums), some new silent propeller for Subs (Kockums) ect.. (You used Bofors made AA guns under WW2. I know the British did)
So there is a lot of stuff that you might not know about

We have not had a war in over 200 years.. That Im very proud of.. Though we have one of the bloodiest war histories of any country.
If you are into history I bet you have read about Karl XII (He who spanked Russia, Denmark and Poland-Lithuania at the same time.. Three of the most powerful nations at that time. (end of 1600.. He was killed in Norway in 1718.), Gustav II Adolf (He who could have got all of Germany if he hadn’t been killed), Gustav Vasa (not a war king.. He was the one that built up the modern Sweden.. Economics.), Karl X Gustaf.. ect.
We were neutral under WW1 and WW2.
We would not have stood a chance in WW2. (There is a famous quote by the Danish prime minister.. He had just got a ultimatum from the Germans. “Surrender or we will start bombing Copenhagen..” So he said to his general “So you want to send up one plane.. two planes or all three”..) We (Sweden) had a bit stronger military but not enough to fight off the Germans for long.
I think Norway managed to fight them off for 2 months or something. France was captured in 4 weeks.
Plus I don’t think the Germans were too keen to attack us in the beginning.. They needed our steel, if they had invaded the allies would have bombed the mines.
Though now later after the war I have read that the Germans infact had a plan to invade us from Norway. Infact they started building a plan and training troops, but Hitler called it off since the Russians had major successes on the East front and the allies were planning to invade Normandy (bombing the beaches ect). (At that time our army was pretty strong. I think we had over 220 fighters, an army of 500 000 men.. and real weapons. The German general was pretty impressed by our army)
You might think we were the Germans little puppy dog. But we weren’t, they told us to not mobilize our troops.. But we did.
They had an agreement to ship troops through Sweden and into Finland.. We broke it off.
We sent troops to Finland to help them fight off the Russians.
So we weren’t as neutral as we may have looked.
Today we support the UN. We send troops into Bosnia ect.. We have troops in Afghanistan..
We are not in NATO because we are neutral, but some strong politicians want to break it off and join NATO.
