-Make a circle or any shape of you choosing.
-Create a new layer with the circle selected, select the gradient tool and then the circle gradient option. Fill the circle with the colors of your choosing.
- Create a new layer with the selection intact, select the normal gradient again and choose the color white, then go into the gradient options and select Foregrount to transparent. Fill from the bottom, to about 1/3 of the circle. Go into the filters menu>>Blur>>Gaussian Blur blur about 0,5-1,0. Then go into the layers palette and make it transparent, 75 should do it.
-Create another new layer with the same selection, choose the color black and fill the shape from top about the same lenght as the previous, maybe a tad bit shorter. Go into the layers palette and make a little transparent, 55-65 should do it.
- Create a new layer, and repeat the previous but with the color white. After you\'ve made the gradient press Ctrl+D to deselect. Then press Ctrl+T and play around with it, till it makes a small circle-ish shape (see pic), press enter, then select the move tool, and put it in the top if the original circle. Go into the Filters and blur menu and select Gaussian blur again, the same setting as before.
- Go into the layers palette, and make the background invisible, then choose any of the other layers. Go into the properties menu and select Merge Visible.
- Go into the Layers menu>>Layer Effects (Layer Styles for Photoshop 6) Add a drop shadow to the shape, play around with the setting till you satisfied.
- Make the background visibile again, add any effects you want (if you want them) after that go back into the layer properties and choose Flatten image.
- Add any text if you want, I put my real nickname (Elli), to make it look nice you should put a drop shadow on the text in the same color as the shape beneath it, then I used a Photoshop 6 feature, bulge the text, it\'s not very visible though.
Then your set, the end result should look something like this.
