i just got and love it already its a 2002 pontiac grand am gt
with the ram air package and its black god i love this car
if any one has one of these speak up

its says 170hp 200 toque but someone told me that with ramair the hp increases with the speed of the car because of the extra air flow i dont know if thats true or not but it seems like it itll go from 0-60 in like 7 sec but that 60-100 speed is scarey fast its like 3 secs all i know is it blows my 150hp cavalier z24 away

I rented a Grand Am SE when a lady slammed into my Maxima.  Man was it fun to drive, wider IS better but the stock tires just sucked.  I was screechin around every corner, but I\'m sure it had something to do with me going a little over the speed limit.

my friend has a 99 grand am gt, its a nice car, although i dont like the interior much, the exterior is hot though.  with the ramair you should actually have 175hp, and the 0-60 is in the high to mid 7\'s, thats really good considering how much hp it has.  do you have chrome rims on it?  post pics please, if you can.

btw, THX, what kind of maxima did/do you have?  my dad has a 2k1 gxe that i hope to get soon, i love that car.

slick I\'m a full-time college student so no new maxima for me.  It\'s a \'90 with the 16v SOHC V6.  It still runs great and 160hp ain\'t bad considering its over 12 years old.  I\'ve always thought about modding it but 2 of my mechanic friends say it\'s just not worth it, the mods would be worth more than the car, telling me to save up.  All that\'s in it right now is a sound system.

The 2k1 is very nice, it\'ll definitely last you long and is no doubt fun to drive with that 228hp engine.  Mine\'s at 162k right now, I talked to a guy on the internet and he told me he sold his maxima when it was at 290k!!  I really hope mine can hold out that long until I save up enough to get an STi.

cool, that ram air will add 5-7hp at above 50mph depending on the ambient temp. of the air. not a bad car. into modding?, try a motor swap, like from the GTP grand prix,bonneville, or s/c\'d regal and that grand am will fly since it is lighter than the others.

My dad has the exact same car with ram air, only thing different is the year, it\'s 1998. I love that car.
