i think mm just thinks it feels like the exact same game.. like the developers didnt put any effort in to make it feel somewhat unique from the first one.. therfore what you do, feels like it is the first one..  :/

eh well

rikku, answer me this

do you even own JGR for DC?

its a simple equation

JGR + a new character and a few more levels = JGRF + visual defects + crappy control

JGR > JGRF

Well, whats a true sequel?

Are Tekken 2 & 3 sequels? Its just basically the same game with new characters, tweaks, new moves, and updated graphics.

What games out there can truly be called sequels and what exactly is your definition of a sequel?
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

obviously, if there\'s a 2 or a 3 after the name its not a port

putting an "x" or an "f" does

Yes.  I wouldn\'t be debating the subject if I didn\'t have hands on experience with both games.

That doesn\'t apply here.

Plus what...as said about 5 times now.  Nothing was brought from the original so your "+" doesn\'t work.  I have asked you twice, and here I go again...What was brought from the first game besides the characters?  Answer me that...and don\'t say visual style, that\'s a given...

JGR > JGRF

You seem to think...I personally had more fun with JSRF...to each his own.
I just think this is another one of your Xbox rants...

So you would be saying that Crash Bandicoot 2 was a true sequel to Crash Bandicoot.  What about Spyro, Tekken, Twisted Metal...

[sarcasm]
Same character + a new one maybe...same style gameplay....same basic atmosphere...by your logic, wouldn\'t this be a port? Oh wait, it has a 2 on the end of it,  must be a sequel.  [/sarcasm]

I\'m confused as to what you think a sequel is...care to discuss?

I don\'t know which one of us you are addressing, so here\'s mine.

An "chapter" perhaps in an ongoing series...a game that is set in the same universe (style, gameplay, goals) as the original and manages to keep the basic elements and improve upon them in some aspects (doesn\'t always apply) and/or implement new ideas.

What I\'m guessing mm\'s version is...anything that goes to PS2.  If it goes to Xbox it is immediatley, without consideration, a port.  Prove me wrong...

Actually, Rikku, I was asking mm as I tend to side with you in this debate.
