Greetings from Australia
« on: March 26, 2002, 04:30:16 AM »
Hey guys, here I am in my hotel, Holiday Inn in Cairns, Australia.  I\'ve been here since Monday morning (it\'s Tuesday night now).. It\'s been a pretty cool trip so far, although my feet are killing me.. I\'ve been here before, but it\'s different from the 4 years ago that I was here.  I think that\'s because I actually appreciate what I\'m seeing and doing. Also, there\'s a hella lot of damn WRX\'s here! I heard one with a turbo. ;) Those are non-existent from where I am from so don\'t rag on me.. Anyways, I\'m gonna go jump in the pool with my friends, just took a few mins to email my family and my soon to be girlfriend. :shy: See you guys later..

One of my wives dream vacations is to visit Australia right about this time of year. I told her that after the baby comes, we’d have to make a date to get out there.

When I was staying at a friends house in London once, I met an Australian girl who was staying there also.  On one occasion she was in the bathroom, and she leaned out the door and asked me if I could hand her a "bog roll."  I had no friggin idea what she was talking about.  It literally took a five minute conversation just to figure out that she was asking for toilet paper.  She acted like she didn\'t know there was any other name for it!  Man oh man that was weird.

After the baby comes?  Vacation to Australia?  Heh...   I\'m guessing this is your first.  Unless you have splendid family who will take care of your child for a week or so, you are stuck for quite a while.
