What game has the worst ending?

I personally think GTA3 was one of the worst I\'ve seen. And also I figured since there was a best ending we could have one about the worst.

Any of those games that simply roll the credits and then say "thanks for playing."  Those suck.

Ok don\'t kill me, and I admit, there are TONS of worse endings out there, but one that left me disappointed was..

Final Fantasy IX.

I think the ending was kinda cheesy & anticlimatic, and not enough FMV (/me is a huge fan of FMV.) Sure it was pretty and happy and all, but... Something was lacking.

I agree with you on that, of VII-X, IX had to be the worst ending.

Thanks guys, I just got done picking up the controller and fought my way to the end of the second disk in desperate hopes that the story picks up. I still find myself struggling to keep interest, and now I find out that it\'s got one of the worst endings? What the hell am I even continuing for?

Oh, and on a side note, I have to say that Quest for Glory 3 has one of the worst endings in a game. Yeah, it\'s my second favorite game in my #1 favorite series.. but the ending blew. The fifth game in the series had a pretty lame ending too, thanks to managment pushing the game out the door waaaay too fast. Then again, the open ending is good since it lets you decide what happened to your character afterwards. It\'s all in how you look at it really.

I might not make it to the end of FF9. My PSX is starting to crap out on me. After about 20 mins worth of gaming, it starts taking 2-3 mins just to switch rooms & enter/exit from battles. Even turning it on it\'s top isn\'t working anymore.

I am sorry if I ruined it for you, it didn\'t even cross my mind that someone might still be playing it. I apologize.

But no one should compare my opinion to others.... I\'m so weird... Who knows, maybe you would love the ending! I know lots of people did.

Funny, but my PSX started acting up at FFIX too. I couldn\'t play it for more than a short while at a time. I was going through a loooong dungeon... and it started making whirring sounds again... I knew it was gonna freeze soon, wasting hours of play time... Just barely made it to save point before my PSX froze. Ah well, who cares.

Lemmie guess, it was near the middle/end of the second disk when you return to Alexandria to rescue Garnet? That\'s where I\'m having trouble, and you\'d better not tell me it gets worse from there! Maybe it\'s just a problem with older PSX\'s, since I don\'t remember hearing about anyone other than you who\'s had this problem.. and AFAIK, none of my other games act up like that. Gotta try some tonight to make sure.

Don\'t worry about spoiling the ending for me, you didn\'t. You just said it was a dissapointment.. and really that\'s not a big surprise because the whole game has turned out to be a big disappointment.

Jak and Daxter\'s ending sucked.  Atleast the game was fun.

MGS2\'s ending didnt suck it just didnt live up to expectation.

If we\'re talkin\' \'bout any game, then it has to be FF7.  Simply horrible.
