PLAYSTATION 2 JUMPS BASE

Scandalous, we know, but strong talk is suggesting that SCEE\'s latest internal project centres on jumping off large structures; who\'d have thunk it?

15:10 Sony insiders have confirmed that the latest internal project to be green-lighted at Studio London is a BASE jumping game. PR for the company remained unavailable for comment at the time of writing, but sources solidified the news in the last 24 hours.
BASE (it actually stands for building, antenna, span and earth) jumping involves parachuting off very high things, like bridges and mountains. Logically, this is a bit daft and fantastically dangerous. Good.

The known tally for the London-based Sony developer is now three games, including the BASE jumping title, much delayed and highly anticipated crime spree The Getaway and a new version of the perennial This is Football series. Technology scheme EyeToy, a soon-to-be-revealed camera system for PlayStation 2, is also underway at the company\'s Great Marlborough Street offices.

Nothing is known of the base jumping game at this time, but we\'ll expect to hear more in the coming months. An E3 showing for the title is yet to be confirmed.

Are you ready to jump off things? Er...

I wonder how many people play such reality games.  How can base jumping in a game ever compare to the real thing?  Go spend 400 bucks, and try it for peh\'s sake!  Oh well.  This post caught my eye, but the game sure won\'t.  :p
