My Tekken 4 review (NO SPOILERS)

Ok ladies and gents here it is!!

Intro
       
        The game opens up as Hiehachi tossing Kazuya into the volcano and then showing the tekken force infiltrating the G corporation. They bust thru one room only for one of them to be tossed like a rag doll,,,looking up they see Kazuya who looks like he is 1 pissed off mutha!!..they try to attack him only to be treated like red headed step children...then they show Steve fox boxing,,(too much of that in the intro) they span on to show Christie doing some sexy moves with her hips....they also show heichachi talking shyt to kazuya thru one of the tekken forces head module...they show a little of craig murdock but they keep going back to steve fox\'s boxing match. In my opinion tekken 2 has the best intro.

Arcade Mode
                   
                    Is just that, you play with a character till you beat the last boss, then it opens another player who you can play with on the character select screen. Not alot of characters in this game like Tekken tag but that game was like a tekken royal rumble. Returning unlockable characters are Bryan Fury, Julia Chang, Lee wulong, LEE, panda, kuma, nina and you get a robot who is like mokujin.

Time Mode

                 Is just that,,whoop\'em as fast as you can!!

Survival
                 Same...although have only beaten 10 times in a row, so might be a secret somewhere.

Tekken Force

                  YEAH!!!! this is so nice!!...its like you playing a 3d double dragon,,,tekken forces everywhere and you can knock them thru walls, they drop items like Life and power items, so you can keep on going,,there is a boss at the end of each level..I have not got passed 3rd stage, so maybe more secrets there.

Gameplay

               Bread and butter here,,,each characters says something before the fight, you can knock them thru certain things like pillars and up against cars,,,when your back is up against the wall you can do a grab move that will pull your oponent to the wall to get you out of the way,,,when you are on a wall get out fast cause it will end a match quick. Note to all the Jin players like me out there,,prepare to learn him all over again,,no more mishima style fighting,,,tougher moves for him. All the characters have at least 5 new moves,,,Paul has a new hairdo as well as hworong..did not spell right but you know what I mean.  Nina is back and is too sexy.

Graphics
     
             Better than tekken 3 but compared to DOA3, DOA3 has it beat, just my opinion, some of the characters are beefed up,,wait till you see how big Craig Murdock is. The graphics are nice and clean with no jaggies.


Tekken STORY MODE

                                 Tells the story of each character and takes you thru the game in a comic book fashion style of graphics, Jin has the best story ending to me.


God I cant think of anything else to say,,well I hope this helps some of you out,,anybody else have the game, feel free to add some things I might of missed.

Cool ill be the first to reply and say nice one.

Although you shouldn\'t have told us what characters you get to unlock but no biggy as i\'ve forgot them already.

Now I need to look into getting my PS2 chipped so I can buy the Japan import of this game and get playing.

Are you useing the HD mode? I have heard from other places such as IGn that jaggies are really bad, you say there aren\'t any... What sorta set up are you using?

As smooth as DOA3?

IGN?  Buahahaha!  From what I\'ve heard from everywhere but IGN, the image quality is excellent.  Many even rate the image quality (not the overall graphics, but just the image quality) better than DOA3\'s.  There is a filter that you can turn on or off in the options similar to the one found in SSBM that makes the image sharp or smooth, depending on how you like it.  And it being HDTV compatible is also a plus.

But could we expect anything less after the jaggie-free TTT?

I hope this is as good as they say!!! Only another 2 or 3 months till UK release???

Hehehe, your hopeing, US is slated for August...

i cant wait!!!!!! ill be able to play tekken again, as im banned from playing tekken1,2,3 ttt, cos im too good for all my mates

I have actually never seen that game in action, i still do it with my good ole Japanese TTT and even there the jags aren\'t noticable

Really? $hit!! I thought it was in a month or two. I\'ll be waitin till xmas then...

I think Tekken 4\'s mistake is launching so late after VF4.... Should have been a similiar launch time. Oh well.
