The catch on this one is the sh!tty vid card, very much outdated, hell it was outdated when it arrived on the market.

If you don\'t need the scanner or printer, you could find a little better system for that price.  But if you do, then by all means, go ahead.

Yeah, I\'m going to need the printer and scanner. My printer\'s busted and I plan on getting rid of the scanner I\'ve got now once I get a new PC.

But I can get a better system than this? Could you show me one or two?

I build them for myself and my family.  I was gonig to start a Consulting business doing it , but I just don\'t have the time to set that up right now.  But its on the back burner which is set to medium heat..  :)

So some day, hopefully soon.  And yes it does bring in the cash, but takes devotion and a lot of time to set up and to maintain.

The hard drive is only a 5400 rpm model, and what brand is it?  In fact, what brand are any of the parts?  Few are indicated, except for a few that I disapprove of.

You should check this website every day:  http://www.slickdeals.net
Eventually you will see a desktop system from Dell or some other big computer mfg listed, and the price will blow away this offer for questionable hardware.

For example, on 3/16/02 the posted an offer of a Dell pentium 4, 2 ghz desktop with 80 gig HD, 16X CDRW drive, 128 meg DDR ram, (no monitor) for $684.00 shipped.  You just have to follow their instructions on how to enter the coupon codes and such.  That deal has expired, but there will be others.  Check it every day.
